IIT – Program (Dexter Future Leaders*)

- Analyst - to be promoted to Sr. Analyst in 2 years (1 or 1.5 year in case of an exceptional performance)
and to Associate in 4 years (2.5 to 3.5 years in case of an exceptional performance)
based on performance and eligible for Dexter Retention Bonus Program

We aim to hire leaders of tomorrow from premier engineering institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU and BITS (Pilani campus only). The document outlines compensation packages and hiring criteria applicable to each tier.
Fixed Compensation:
First year compensation – [INR 10L (Gross annual compensation) + INR 2L (Performance based bonus) & INR 2L of benefits. CTC would be around INR 14L]
▪ Second year compensation^ – [INR 12L (Gross annual compensation) + INR 3L (Performance based bonus) & INR 2L of benefits. CTC would be around INR 17L]
▪ Third year compensation^ – [INR 15L (Gross annual compensation) + INR 4L (Performance based bonus) & INR 2L of benefits. CTC would be around INR 21L]
Variable Compensation
A variable compensation over and above the fixed compensation can be provided as per the organization’s policy. Performance based bonus will be based on exceptional performance i.e 8/10 as per Dexter’s Performance Rating Matrix, revenue performance of the team and CEO’s discretion. ^ The compensation structure for year 2 and year 3 is indicative and for exceptional candidates it can be higher as well on case-to-case basis Outplacement Support: After 3 years, candidates who want to move to buy side roles in PE / VC / Family Office firms – Dexter to provide outplacement support (based on candidate performance & CEO discretion).
Hiring Criteria:
To be hired only from IIT (Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Roorkee and BHU) and BITS(Pilani campus only)
▪ Must Have – Any past work/internship experience of minimum 6+ months in a VC/ PE fund or I-Bank
▪ Good to Have – Any past 12+ months’ work experience in a start-up (growth or product roles only)
▪ Curriculum – Any final-year minors/electives in business, management, economics, entrepreneurship
▪ Mandatory – CFA L1 (Higher the level, greater the weightage)
▪ Good to Have – Extra-curriculars such as victories in reputed B-Plan competitions, stock pitch/valuation competitions; significant contribution in activities including campus E-cell / student-run funds / campus incubators / Placement Committees
* This is a Dealmaker track role which is equivalent to a Partner at Dexter Capital. We will be supportive if a candidate wants to pursue a career outside Dexter via an MBA or a buy side role or becoming an entrepreneur. However, we would also be supportive if the candidate wants to continue with Dexter Capital or other Dexter Group Companies (Dexter Ventures or Delta Partners) and there is a retention bonus program as well for such candidates if they continue to be part of Dexter.
* Dexter Retention Bonus Program – Upon successfully completing three years with the company, a candidate will be eligible for an additional retention bonus of 15 Lacs given in three equal annual installments if the candidate chooses to stay and continue to work with Dexter
